I can never say no to vintage hardware, especially when it means rescuing it from the trash and giving them new life. (I found these “U” brackets in a basement workshop that was going to be junked as the current owner needs to sell the house.)
These “U” brackets are galvanized steel and usually are used to secure electrical tubes to a wall or other surface. For metal flower purposes, four “U” brackets are screwed or glued together at right angles to form a shape that resembles a lily flower. The flowers are spray painted with Rust-oleum, which safely covers and prevents rust. Finally a clear, protective polyurethane coat is added. Below you can choose the flower’s color.
I have various other sizes of “U” brackets that you can ask about as part of a custom requests (described below).
These “U” bracket flowers are part of Lawless Upcycling’s Metal Flowers series (juxtaposition of hard, man-made metal used to emulate a soft, natural flower).
