I rescued the rebar used for these stems and leaves from dumpster of a car dealership that was renovating its garage. The rebar was from the concrete of the previous garage that was torn down. As a result, each rebar piece was initially in an “U” shape, and thus had two 90 degree, curved corners. I utilized these corners to create different styled leaves.
Here are the different rebar leaf types, which you can choose (along with the color) below:
You will receive a stem with two leaves that is substantially similar to the stems and leaves in the photos.
The leaves and flowers are affixed to the rebar with JB Weld epoxy and spray painted with Rust-oleum, which safely covers and prevents rust. Finally a clear, protective polyurethane coat is added to the flower.
