The wood is beautifully finished with cutting-board oil and offers a small artistic piece that is also practical.
The wood are all scrap pieces from previous projects that I intentionally shaped for the magnet and include a rare earth magnet. I used clips meant for connecting electronic nodes, which I found when cleaning up an audio electronics store that had gone out of business. I stripped off the plastic on the clips and then drilled a hole in the clips so I could secure the clips to the wood pieces and magnets. With the clips, you can keep various important notes or mail in a place where you will not forget them.
Currently the four magnets shown are the only magnets I have available. I will update the website for any magnets I sell and new ones I make.
Size of the magnets: L: 2-2.75 in.; W: 1.25-2; D: 0.75-1.25 in.
