Desk Organization System with 3 Components
Here is a unique desk organization system with three different components, each of which can be purchased independently or as a group for a small discount per the options below.
The concept behind the desk organization system is that one can stack the components however is suitable for their needs. To accomplish this, the narrow wooden organizer is the same size as the vintage safety deposit box and the paper wooden organization is the same length but about twice as wide. Users can also choose to lay out all three pieces for easy access to each.
The vintage safety deposit box adds a touch of elegance and style, while also functionally providing a way to conceal items that one may not want just laying out on top of a desk. The safety deposit box was made by The Mosler Safe Co. located in Hamilton, Ohio, and you can learn more about the company on its Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosler_Safe_Company. I bought seven of the safety deposit boxes a few years ago at the Brimfield Antique Fair because I thought they were super cool and could be a distinctive furniture element.
For securing the mitered 45 degree pieces in the narrow wooden organizer, I found an old strike plate from a doorknob and painted it black so it matches the safety deposit box. For additional builds I will find similar metal pieces and paint them black.
Sizes and Materials:
Narrow Wooden Organizer:
Size: L=24 in.; W=5 in.; D=1.75 in.
Material: 0.75 in. plywood, which allows for the 45 degree miter cuts
Vintage Safety Deposit Box:
L=24 in.; W=5 in.; D=1.75 in. - I only have 7.
Material: Metal
Paper Wooden Organizer:
Size: L=24 in.; W=10.5 in.; D=1.75 in.
Material: Cleaned up pallet boards, which have different thickness and thus do not have 45 degree miter cuts
Please use the “Contact” page if you have specific requests for this desk organization system or an individual component, such as you want dividers between the sections that can be removed or different sizes. Requests that require additional work may increase the cost by a few dollars, which Lawless Upcycling will discuss with you before fulfilling the order.
Finally, check out the “made to order” computer screen stand and desk organizer product for another desk option!
