Each curvy wood stem starts as a square board that is cut the long way twice on a bandsaw to create four pieces. Then there are two “glue ups” (gluing the wood together) connecting piece one and two and then piece three and four. Once these dry, the two resulting pieces are glued up to create a single stem with beautiful curves. Next the stems are sanded to smooth out the curves and glued edges. Finally the stems are treated with cutting board oil that highlights the wood grain and protects the wood from damage. You will receive a stem that is substantially similar to the stems in the photos.
